Unibet Arena – Estonia's largest indoor arena – is putting its water and electricity meters on one in-building wM-Bus network, read every 15 minutes through Divako. Within two weeks of the first meters going live, the data pointed at potential leaks and the first fix was already done. The goal: know exactly what each concert, match and conference consumes.

The challenge
An arena's consumption is nothing like an office's. Water and electricity sit near idle for days, then spike for a few hours when ten thousand people arrive. A monthly meter reading flattens all of that into one number – useless for finding a leak, and useless for answering the question the operator actually has: what did this event cost us in water and power?
The brief was pragmatic. Start with water, where the leak risk is highest, and pick a network that could later carry electricity and whatever comes after – without rewiring a large building or running a separate system per meter type.

What we built
Inside a single building, wM-Bus is the right tool: short range is no limitation, the radio is standardised across water, heat and electricity meters, and the meters run for years on their own battery. Two Lobaro wM-Bus gateways, mains-powered and each with its own NB-IoT uplink, hear every meter in the arena and forward the telegrams to Divako – no cable pulls, no firewall tickets.
The water side runs on Apator Ultrimis NEO ultrasonic meters. The electricity meters were already transmitting OMS telegrams over wM-Bus, encrypted with security mode 5; Divako decodes them with the meters' keys and lands the readings in the same data model as the water. Both arrive every 15 minutes, with leak, backflow and anomaly detection on top.

Outcomes
Flow that never dropped to zero overnight showed up in the first 15-minute data. The potential leaks were flagged, and the first repair was done before the next invoice.
No second system for the electricity meters. Their OMS telegrams ride the same wM-Bus gateways and land next to the water readings.
With 15-minute resolution, a concert or a match is a clear block in the data. Consumption per event – water today, electricity next – is what the arena is building toward.
The network is in place. Adding more water points, heat or sub-metering is a matter of registering the meter – one technology at a time, at the arena's pace.
